The land of the town of Bolsena share its borders with the Umbria Region, and it is only 21 Km away from Orvieto.

The Toscana Region is also very close and they share the same landscape. Bolsena is exactly half way between Rome and Siena.

If you travel by car you can reach Bolsena:

• via the S.S. Cassia, from the south 113 km from Rome, and from the north 112 km from Siena;
• via the motorway "Autostrada del Sole (A1)", till Orvieto and than following the street umbro-casentinese and following the signs for Bolsena;
• via the superstrada Roma-Orte-Viterbo, exit Viterbo and than via Cassia for circa 30 km;
• If you travel by train the nearest train stations are Orvieto and Viterbo.

To see:

• the Castle Monaldeschi of Cervara where the the Museum Territoriale of the lake of Bolsena is located;
• the etruscan and roman remains of the ancient Volsinii;
• the historic centre, with its ancient fountain, the churches
• the holy stones of the Corpus Domini, the tomb of Saint Cristina and the catacombs.
